KC at 26 + alta + movie

KC Concepcion, Star Magic artist and one of the prettiest actresses today, is nothing but thankful as she marked her twenty-sixth year on April 7.

With both her parents – megastar Sharon Cuneta and actor Gabby Concepcion – entrenched in the industry, KC still managed to create a name for herself as an actress, singer and host.

Even before joining the entertainment industry full-time, she has proven to everyone that she is more than just a pretty face after receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in International Corporate Communications with a minor in Theater Arts in Paris, France. She first ventured into the limelight by becoming a stage actress, commercial model and a VJ.

She eventually tested her acting chops in ABS-CBN via "Lovers in Paris" and "Maalala Mo Kaya" (MMK). Her most recent stint in MMK was Angeline Quinto’s life story. She will soon be seen in a soap opera entitled "Alta" with Sam Milby, Gretchen Barretto, Zanjoe Marudo and Angelica Panganiban.

Aside from "Alta," KC is doing a movie with Sam and recently went to Bukidnon and Cagayan de Oro for the shooting of their Star Cinema movie, tentatively titled "Forever and A Day," under the helm of Cathy Molina.

She will however take a leave from "The Buzz" and "ASAP Rocks" as she joins her fellow Star Magic Kapamilya for the first time in Star Magic World Tour 2011 on April 15 and April 16 at Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles and San Jose Center, San Jose, respectively. Last leg is on April 23 at Lincoln Center, New York.

KC will be with Derek Ramsay, Matteo Guidicelli and Bugoy Drilon on May 14 for her concert in Zurich, Switzerland.

As a recording artist, her album was awarded platinum and she is about to start her third album under Sony Music. As an endorser, she remains the face of Palmolive Naturals Shampoo and was recently launched as endorser of Century Corned Tuna and Real Leaf Tea.

Also known for supporting causes, KC was commended for her trip in Uganda Africa as part of her obligations as National Ambassador Against Hunger for the United Nations’ World Food Program. She is presently promoting WFP’s wefeedback campaign where all interested donors can share at least fifteen pesos of their meal to unfortunate kids worldwide. She recently produced the Care Divas in PETA last April 1-3 and part of the proceeds went to Chameleon Foundation in Iloilo.
